Hello, Saint Michael School community. 

We hope your summer is going well. 

As you know, this year Ms. Sheehan (guidance counselor), Mrs. Skowronek (grade 1), and Mrs. Keller (grade 2) are moving on to positions at other schools closer to their homes. To say we are saddened by their departures is an understatement, but we are excited for the new seasons in their lives (engagements, weddings, new homes, etc.) 

Some updates: 

Due to a larger than expected kindergarten group, we will have an additional kindergarten class this year. We are very excited to have Heidy Castillo joining us as a new kindergarten teacher. She has a wealth of experience in education, including in therapeutic environments. 

We are excited to introduce Ashley Desmarais as our new grade 1 teacher. Many of you may know her from working in Pelham Public Schools, as well as the dance studio. 

We are also super excited to welcome Sara McHugh (Mcniff) as our new grade 2 teacher. Mrs. McHugh is a parishioner here at Saint Michael's and has been teaching in Pelham Public for a few years. 

Our partnership with the Urban Catholic Teacher Corps continues, and we are excited to welcome Joseph Cucinotta as our middle school math teacher. 

We are delighted to have Dhameliss Benitez joining us as a teacher's assistant. She is a faith-filled young woman, and I know her nurturing personality will add so much to our program.
