Catholic Identity

​At Saint Michael School, each student, faculty and staff are called to live as Disciples of Jesus Christ. Students at Saint Michael School are very involved with activities within the Parish and School community. Its Catholic identity is an essential component of our school community as Catholic morals and values are emphasized through daily practice and prayer.
  • Morning opening prayer
  • Daily Religion classes
  • Prayer before meals
  • Catholic Schools Week celebrations 
  • Weekly visits from Fr. Chris to answer student questions 
  • Celebration of liturgical seasons
  • Weekly Masses organized, with students readers & altar servers
  • Monthly Mass on Sundays with student participation
  • Altar Server Training beginning in Grade 4
  • Student Altar Servers participate in Sunday Masses
  • Community Service 
    • Holding donation drives for the Merrimack Valley Food Bank 
    • Holding donation drives for clothing for those in need
  • 1st Communion Program and First Penance for Grade 2 Students
  • Children's Choir - Perform at School Mass and 9:00 Mass on Sundays.
  • 8th Grade Leadership Retreats
  • Big Buddy Program - Junior High mentoring younger students
  • Participation in Annual Children's Eucharistic Holy Hour at Holy Cross Cathedral in Boston with other Catholic Schools in the area

Weekly Mass is celebrated as a school community. Each week a different grade gets to participate in the Mass by doing a reading or bring up the gifts to the altar.
