Principal's Welcome
Principal’s Welcome
To the Families of St Michael’s School Community, I am so pleased to have the opportunity to introduce myself to all of you as the new principal at St Michael’s school. I spoke with Fr. Chris and I am sincerely thrilled to be joining such a supportive, engaged, and caring community. Let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I was born in Derry, Ireland, into a large Catholic family. I was raised with a strong sense of faith and a strong work ethic, centered around being helpful to others and doing good. I became a teacher out of a sincere interest in helping to develop the minds, hearts, and spirits of children and young people. I have worked in the archdiocese school system for twenty two years, not only here in the Boston area, but also in Chicago and Ireland.
I see my role as doing everything I can to maintain a safe, kind, fair, and consistent school environment in which families feel informed and involved, and students gain confidence in reaching their academic, social, and spiritual goals and potential. As we prepare to begin this school year, I want you to know that I will always listen, that I will always be available to talk with you, and that I will always be supportive of your efforts to make a difference in students’ lives at this most critical moment in education.
I am planning a meet and greet on May 11th at 7:00pm in the school hall and again on May 14th at 10:00am so that we can get to know each other, and so I can begin to listen to your thoughts, concerns and interests.
Until then, I hope that you are all able to enjoy the rest of this year with those who are important to you. Please make sure to take care of yourselves, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Again, I am looking forward to meeting you all and begin working together in the very near future. Stay safe.
Sincerely,
Anne Gallagher
