Science

Science

The science program promotes our mission by using strong academics to teach students at every level the scientific method and the love of inquiry-based learning. Through classroom activities and field trips, students will gain the skills needed to understand the complexities of their world and to view everyday as an opportunity to grow in knowledge.

By using varied instructional techniques and taking into account differing learning styles, the science program reflects the school’s beliefs about teaching and learning. Our science teachers are enthusiastic and innovative in their instruction of this dynamic subject.

It is clear that basic science concepts continue their development in complexity and depth as students progress through the grades.  For example, grade one learns about various motions while grade five actually discusses Newton’s laws in more detail.
